BMI Environmental Services, LLC

BMI/ES is an environmental consulting firm that provides environmental and ecological consulting services to a wide range of clients along the Mississippi Gulf Coast. BMI/ES has operated as a limited liability corporation for approximately four years.  Prior to that time BMI/ES operated as the Environmental Services Division of Brown and Mitchell, Inc.  BMI/ES offers a multi-disciplinary approach to environmental problem-solving, providing support to private industry, government, and engineer/architecture firms in project design, project evaluation, and project management in sensitive environmental settings.  

Our Thinking

• People need and expect to have clean water, clean air, and a healthy environment that will be available to all, for current and future generations.  Businesses need and expect to have opportunities to implement development projects that will contribute to the economic well being of the community, the region, and the nation.
• The needs and expectations of man and business, while seemingly different are in fact very similar. Both want to be wise stewards of the land, both want to have a minimal impact on the environment and both want to operate in a way that would lead to a quality-of-life that will be sustainable.  
• We recognize the conditions under which economic and environmental interest operate.  We understand the importance of balance, and we seek to build lasting relationships with our clients in order to create sustainable solutions that go beyond balance and towards increased sustainable value.

Our Beliefs 

• We believe that economic development should be a balanced approach that incorporates sound technical components that are compatible with sustainable environmental principles;

• We believe that it is a good business strategy for companies to design, develop, and operate on principles of sustainability; and

•  We believe that care should be taken to protect, enhance, and manage the natural environment for current and future generations
